Hello, my name is Kathryn, my working background is in Human Resources and HR Consulting where I worked for many years - but just over 10 years ago I became interested in psycholgy, mental health and wellbeing and decided to train to be a counsellor.
I trained at The Counsel House, in Wickford, Essex and with the Open University (you can see my qualifications listed below). I went on to work for Dove Bereavement Services in Essex, where I counselled people who had experienced trauma and loss through the death of someone close to them, miscarriage, still birth, relationship issues, depression and anxiety. Today, as well as having my own private counselling practice, I am also a counsellor at Safer Places in Essex where I work with people who have experienced domestic abuse.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and as such I am committed to working ethically and safely and in the best interests of my clients. I keep my training up to date with continued professional development. More information about the BACP can be found at www.BACP.co.uk.
